Default Parts question

Well I gotta do my upper and lower ball joints, idler arm and pitman arm. (i think i might be in over my head lol) I was just wonder about brands. alot of ppl say go with the moog parts but i not sure if i can put that much money into it, i dont even know how much life is left in the old girl lol. I was looking at the ac delco ones and possibly the duralast but i pretty much know what everyones gonna say about the duras. so what do ppl think about the AC Delcos? or any other brands that are pretty good?

I rebuilt my front end using Power Performance parts but I have to say the stock AC Delco tie rods sure looked beefier. You can get an entire front end kit from Synergy Offroad or individual parts from Power Performance.

I have about 10,000 miles thus far but not a lot of offroading and everything is holding up just fine. I also changed out UCA and LCA bushings, steering stabilizer and hubs at the same time.

i've only used Moog suspension components, or Spicer (for the short time my supplier switched brands). never had any complaints with the Moog stuff-ever, & i'm pretty hard on my vehicles. the one vehicle that got the Spicer stuff hasn't had any issues either.

they may be a little more expensive, but last alot longer, plus have lifetime warrenty if they do fail.

so wrong, on so many levels!

my Dad had that same opinion about the passenger idler arm on his '93 Safari, so he bought the second line (was $32 cheaper) instead of Moog (even though he could have put it on my account @ the time).

anyways, 14 months later, the same one failed again!

this time, he listened to me, and i installed a Moog one.......lasted for the next 4 years until he parked it.

i actually took it off in September (after it had sat for 6 years!) for one of my brother's work van (his boss is sooooooo cheap). greased it up, and was a smooth as silk! no problems so far.
