Default pitman arm on '84 S10

I need to replace pitman arm on my '84 S10; 4X4, 2.8L V6....seems like no clearance to pull arm from steering box, manual refers to swiveling box up but only for '91-'94. Any ideas?

Also, I don't have steering damper, but undercarriage appears to have fitting for one. Advice?
thx

Default RE: pitman arm on '84 S10

On my 1994 S10 Blazer 4x4 4.3L VORTEC (W Engine Code) there is a cross member in the way. I had to tip out the radiator, engine fan and maybe some other stuff to get at the steering box. I had to remove the steering box to get the pitman out. I remember seeing a low profile pitman puller on eBay that should do the job, without having to rip apart the engine bay. I would recommend getting that one, if yoiu have a cross member in the way.
