And seeing as how I have spent ALOT of time trying to figure this out and no one seems to want to help with the issue on the other thread, ya, I'm going to post a different one. Look at the other thread, not one reply but alot of people looking. Someone out there has to have the answer to this problem, that's all I want and if it takes 2 or 3 threads to find it, so be it.
Have you gotten a 2nd opinion...? A different alignment shop? Maybe the first one was just lazy and/or incompetent.

Have patience and abide by the rules of the forum. If you need to bump a thread, so be it, but double posting is prohibited.

I'm not here to argue with you. I've got better things to do. The point was the you were disrespectful in the way you posted. End of discussion.

Ya, I have gone to 5 other shops. They say they can't align it because it is lowered and they don't have the specs for that. The only shop that came close is the one telling me I need to extend the a arms. I would think there is some other answer out there.

From web sites I have found I measured the camber and it is about 1 degree negative. Standing in front of the truck you can tell it is leaning in. I'm not 100 percent sure it is -1 degree but pritty sure. So is that going to kill my tires or is it close enough to say they are good?

That is pretty funny that you have been told that they do not have specs for lowered trucks... The specs should be the same regardless of ride height. Now if they told you that they could not meet the spec due to a lack of adjustment range, that would be within the realm of possibility.

The caster/camber is adjusted by turning the eccentric bolt/waster setup on the lower control arm. Now if your adjusters are already turned to fully push the lower control arm out, then what the shops are telling you may very well be correct.

If a shop just looked at your truck as it sat in the parking lot and said they could not do it because it is lowered, they do not deserve your business.

Ya, they didn't even look at it. A couple shops I called on the phone and they said they couldn't do it. But the one guy that said I need longer a arms did look at it on the rack. Didn't really check the alignment but said that there wasn't enough to adjust it and that I need longer a arms to do so. Ok great, but when I measure it I have less than -1 degree. The bolts adjust from +1.75 to -1.75. so why couldn't he do it? This is just frustrating. I have no idea what to do know.

If the adjusting bolts were already at their +1.75* setting and you still had -1*, you could not adjust it any further. You can look at the adjusting bolts and tell if there is more room to adjust or not.

Snap a picture of the bolts that hold on the lower control arm at the frame if you could. You should be able to tell where in its adjustment it is as far as how much it can still be adjusted to move the lower control arm out.

Is it the lower or the upper. From what I have read and diagrams on LMC truck they are upper control arm. The lower has the torsion bar running through them. Anyway that's what I thought. But I'll try and get a pic.

Yes, upper control arm. My mistake. I type too fast some of the time. LOL

Here is an illustration:

If the bolt is as shown in the illustration above, then it is adjusted all the way out and no further adjustment can be made.

The spec for camber is +/- 1* with preferred being 0*

Ya that's something like the one I saw on LMC truck. I'll try getting a pic today or tomorrow and posting it on here.
