Default Pro Comp Add a Leaf

Just wondering....been searching for days and can't find an answer. On a 2002 Blazer 4WD 4-door would the Pro Comp 13120 leaf work. Also anyone have any suggestions on a longer leaf that is in the same price range. Amazon has the Pro Comp for $35 dollars now.

thats the one that i used on my blazer. 98 4 door 4wd. my leafs were a little saggy and i ended up with about 2-2 1/2 inches out of it. it also stiffened the ride up a bit, which was what i was looking for because it was too "spongy". if you dont want the added stiffness, you can always do shackles. $35 is about the going rate. if you can find it with free shipping and not have to pay tax, you would be ahead of the game a few dollars.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I was wondering what the benefits are of the add a leaf vs shackles and vice verca. I've been working on cars for a while but I'm new to truck suspensions.

As twip said in his last post, shackles only move the existing leaf springs down a little, which does not change how the truck feels suspension wise. An add a leaf acts like a new spring which means the suspension will feel more stiff as it will take more weight to compress your spring packs. Also, depending on how worn out your old springs are, an add a leaf might give you an inch of lift, or 2.5, if your springs look brand new you won't get as much as if your springs are flat when it's on level ground. Whereas a shackle lift will pretty much give you a definitive amount of lift.
