Default Problem with 4WD

So I went Offroading with My 02 Sonoma ZR5 today (Equivalent of a 4 Dr Blazer), long story short, my 4WD didn't work, which caused me to get stuck half way through a K-Turn. Basically, I hear it engage, the light changes and stays solid when I hit 4-Hi or 4-Lo, but the front tires don't actually move. Its basically still in 2WD, any ideas? Thanks to this I had one hell of a crappy day.

Your front axle isn't engaging. Pull the battery and check to see if the actuator is moving when you put it into 4wd with the engine running.

I took a look after I got off of work. The actuator is engaging, looks like it retracts depending or not when 4WD is engaged. I ended up replacing it anyways just to prevent a future problem. When I hit 4Lo, I feel a gear reduction. I hear it engage outside the truck when hitting the button. However it still isn't working any suggestions?

How far is it pulling out? 0.5" to 0.75" is required to properly engage the front axle.

I'll check it tomorrow, we had nothing but heavy rain here today. If its not pulling out, like it should, what should I check?

swartlkk, I checked out the actuator again, I didn't secure it properly to the cable and fixed it, and my 4WD is engaging properly. Thanks man, I really appreciate it.
