Questions about some leaks.
Hello all I am new to the forum; I have a few questions about my blazer, I have included pics of the issues I am having hope someone can help me thanks. Now the problem I have a leak on my front diff around the area where the lever goes into the differential it does not have a soft seal here just a dark kind of yellow looking thick hard seal. I just want to know is it all right to undo the four bolts here and put some liquid seal here and stop the leak also if someone has taken that part off it would be great to have a guide how to. The pic has the leaks on it the one with the two circles is the diff leak and the other is the axle leak I think.
Now my second problem I also have a leak on the drive axle I think it is the drive axle anyways it’s also on the front on the passenger side I was told by a guy that it could be the seal where it connects to the black axle in the pic. I hope I am not loosing anyone here but anyways does anyone know how hard it is to change that seal. If it’s not the seal is it easy to change the drive axle there. I hope I got all my terminology right with the parts if not sorry and I hope someone can help me.

You should definitely get them both fixed at the same time as much of the work is the same. It isn't going to be the easiest thing in the world. First, you should drain (if you have a drain plug) or suck some gear oil out of the front diff. You will then have to separate the lower ball joint on the passenger side to then pull the passenger side CV axle out of the front diff extension tube. You would then remove the bolts holding on the extension tube, clean the mating surface and install the gasket or make an RTV gasket. While you have the extension tube off, replace the output seal. Refill the diff with 80w90 or 75w90 gear oil.
hey thanks for all your help do you know if i can just pull the axle out of the diff after i get the the lower ball joint disconected. Or do i have to take the wheel bearing off and everything else like the axle nut and such.
