Default Questions on lift kits

Hi guys, I am toyin with the idea of lifting my 2000 blazer. Now I was talking with a friend that has two trucks with 12" lifts on them what I might need for a 3" lift. After talking with him he said all I would need were some spacers and 35" tires to get that kind of lift. I just want to here from you guys what you think?

What parts would I need fora 3" body lift?

A) you wont get 35" tires under one of these blazers without hacking off more fender than you will be keeping
B) if your blazer is 95+ there is no 3" lift kit out there, it's more than just spacers, would need bumper relocation brackets, fuel filler extension and possibly tow hook relocation possibly more but I dont know enough about the 2nd gens to get any more detailed than that.

Ohh, I see. Well I just wanted to see if that was all I would need. Obviously I am going to need a lot more. Do you know if they make kits for a 2" lift on the 2000 series?

Alright, thanks a bunch everyone, I kind of figured I would need more than just a few spacers to lift my truck. That is not all that expensive either, maybe if I save my lunch money I can buy it myself!

Special thanks to Wolfpack for awnsering my PM's really quick and getting me the info I needed[8D]
