Default RC suspension lift set - upper control arms

I am checking the possibilities of getting a suspension lift set from Rough Country. Unfortunately, their representative in Europe wants over $1k for a set that could be bought in Walmart for less than $500. Initially I thought they are giving me a quotation for the 6" set, not the 2" one. LOL.
At a closer look, I found, the upper control arms come with a ball joints that does not look standard. Am I right here? What happens if they worn off? Another set of control arms for another $1k...?
Could any owner share a bit of experience here?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Mike,

I have those upper control arms. At least at the time when I got mine (August 2016) the ball joints are a type that are pressed in and are the same as those used on the 1/2 chevy pick-ups. According to my notes, the replacement ball joints are MOOG K6540 for the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 1999-2006 and similar vehicles. I learned this from an email I got from RC. I was always a bit surprised that they did not make this information more readily available.

The Super Lift upper control arms I believe take the same ball joints as for our Blazers. The reason I did not use those control arms is that the upper attachment for the shocks would have to be re-positioned by welding in a bracket and I was not interested in making that modification.
