Can anyone help me id my 10 bolt with out cracking it? I want to order a new cover but dont want to open it up till i get the new one to put on. RPO codes are GT4 = 3.73 and G80 = Posi track limited slip. It is in a 2001 blazer 4door 4wd LS with rear disk brakes, special tow option and Z85. Is it a 7.5 - 8.5 ? From the pictures it looks like a 7.5 but every place i search says the year was 8.5 or 8.625, plus there is no consistency in every post i search.

Thanks
Gary

Looks like the 7.5 (or 7 5/8) rear to me. 8.5 rear was more round and the 7.5 rear is more like a flattened oval.

That's what I thought, just funny that it would be that one. GM was not to consistent I guess. Also not to many replacement ones. Aluminum is pricey!

Hey Gary, I know what you're up to you sneaky so and so. I was gonna too, but I was a little anxious to have a look from the new vantage point. What are you looking at for a cover? Somethin' fancy and tough lookin'? Maybe I'll do the same.
