Default Rear end swap...86 K5

I have an 86 K5 with what Im gonna say is the stock rear end. (bought it used..previous owner was jus dumb..lol) Got a 'grinding' noise on decel after putting a new yoke on the rear end...and was told the rear end is going out due to the play that was caused by the bad yoke for who knows how long. My nephew is parting out his wrecked pick up truck and says the rear end is an exact match...its a 92 Chevy 1500 4x4 with the same GU6 RPO gear code. My question is..are the rear ends the same as far as bolt right up...(i havent been under his to measure spring and shock mount positions) And are the internals as strong as the one on my K5 now? I am running 37's and really havent had an issue with breaking...but I havent really pushed it yer sense im still 'working out all the bugs' lol.

i didnt want to answer cause im not 100% sure. i know a common swap people do is swap in the semi floating 14bolt axles that are under the 2500 versions and its the same bolt pattern.

also i know the bolt pattern is the same as ive put 90s chevy rims on my k5... well on the back anyways the offset wouldnt allow me to put them on the front.

but i dont know if its going to be a bolt in as far as spring perches lining up and shock mounts being in the same spot

Thank you for an attempt at an answer at least! A few have told me the spring perches are different but a simple fix. My conflicting info Im getting is...some people I ask say the axle itself is too narrow...others say it will bolt in with no mods but the axle shafts themselves are not as strong as the ones in the K5 now. My last resort is calling a drive line specialty place and pick their brains. I dont have the $$$ to do the 14 bolt 2500 swap....
