Default remove driveshaft ? 97 blazer

Im in the process of pulling my motor now.
I need to tilt the trans to get to bell housing bolts.
Need to remove rear drive shaft.. u joints are good so.. just want to drop the entire shaft.. do ya just remove the bolts at the rear? Dont want to dismantle the u joints at all. Front drive shaft should be the same way correct.. just remove 4 bolts.

Thank

yes just be careful of the caps on the u joint. They come off easy and are full off roller bearings. You can put them back on if you find all the bearings LOL

But yea once both front and main driveshafts are removed the tranny should be able to ve tilted correct.. along with motor mount bolts out.. but how do ya tilt tranny and engine and pull bell housing bolts and keep the engine at an angle.. the hoist will be hooked up too. But wont it kinda swing away after ya disconnect bell housing bolts wonder if ya can slide engine and tranny fwd a couple inchs to access bell housing bolts

Wait on the engine mounts, disconnect the tranny cross member and the tranny will tilt giving you access to the bolts.

One thing I didnt think... I should of put it in neutral before I started.. all the wires are disconnected and I cant shift out of park.. to turn the main driveshaft .
Is there a manual way.. disconnect the linkage and click it into reverse?
p.s. im doing this alone.. at a friends garage.. he will help pull and put donor in.. but the rest is on me.. hes working alot so.

Does the drive shaft slide fwd to come off the rear end after ya take the 4 bolts out? Drive shaft wont move fws at all..
And this has 2 crossmeembers.. both have to come down...
Can u leave the dront drive shaft in.. when ya tilt the trans or does it have to come out?
