Default Replaced front diff, now front passenger wheel won't move

To compensate for large tires, I just installed a different front diff (and matching rear axle). New diff is 3.73 vs 3.42 and is from a 2005 ZR2 (mine is a 2000 4 door). Install went fine but the passenger front wheel will not turn now that everything is buttoned up. It rotates slightly but can't do a full revolution in either direction. Put it into 4wd (on jackstands with no tires), put it in gear and the rear wheels and front drivers wheel turn as normal but the passenger side doesn't move. No funny sounds but the ABS light comes on for Code C0222 wheel speed signal missing. Any ideas why this is locked up?

Sounds like there may be something wrong internal to the differential. It may be in the slide collar to lock the passenger side axle in? This is accessible by removing the axle tube plate. Christine recently posted an exploded view of the front differential in another thread that may help with diagnosing.

Just to update this, took everything apart again and it appears the CV axle is binding at full droop. If I jack the control arm a little, the axle spins freely. Probably not a good thing but its all coming out later this month so who cares...

Good to hear you found out why it was binding, and thanks for closing the loop on your issue.
