Ride Height

Ride Height seems too high in front, and rough almost hard feeling going over bumps, fords and what nots ...Lol

I think when they installed the new Torsion bar Mount Bushings
they cranked it up about 1-1/2 to 2 inches too high.. which is
what I think could be the rough ride.... I know it can't be too high
or will damage parts.

Any other ideas?

Below Pics today showing sitting on as flat as I could find surface.

It's got stock suspension and all new below;

Take a look at the torsion adjuster bolts, see if they're turned all the way up, or close to it. It doesn't look too high to me, but usually they sit slightly lower in the front so it could be turned up a little bit...However I'd imagine they aligned it after the work was done.

Maybe it just feels rough in comparison to what it was before because you went from worn out, soft bushings and loose steering to tight steering and new bushings.

Also "when I go over bumps, fords, and whatnot" had me dying:icon_mrgreen:

Yep i watched a youtube video where the guy marked the bolt so he could gauge the amount of turns...so 6 turns = 1-1/2 inch.

Is alignment required right after that ?

or should wait and drive a week ..then alignment

newguy 02-12-2017 06:32 AM

you will need a new alignment also, i would make the shop fix it for free

Picture stolen from Capt. Hook... as he would say you've got to crawl under there and measure it. Looking at it doesn't cut it...

Swartllk has an article in the tech section with all the specs
