Default Shock Absorber

Hello everyone

I have 2WD 00 Jimmy and it is the time to replace the Shock Absorber I found Original GM one but I don't know what is the difference between these two ACDELCO540-516 & ACDELCO 560-608.
Can anyone tell me what is the difference between them?
Also, If anyone have idea about smooth and good Shock Absorber because I mostly drive my car around the city and I never use it for off-road .

thank you

Are there RPO codes associated with each of the two part numbers? If so, you see which of them matches with what is on your list of RPO codes on the sticker on the inside of the glove box.

The part descriptions at Rock Auto will often will include the RPO codes for which the part is to be used.

As Christine said, some shocks are different between options on your truck. I'd be looking for ZQ8, Z85, z83, or ZR2 rpo codes. (If none of these, you don't have a special suspension package) Z85 is the tow package which has stiffer shocks. This would be the more likely one to have. ZQ8 is a performance suspension/steering package and also has stiffer shocks- this only came on 2wd trucks. Z83 is a smooth ride suspension package... I've never ran into this one myself but apparently it exists. ZR2 is a 2.5" lift/ wide stance suspension package. Longer and stiffer shocks.. you do not have this one. Very very rare to find this on a 2wd, only availible on 2wd for 04 and 05. But I figured I'd mention it anyhow.

The problem is that my RPO codes sticker which should be inside the glove box is missing. Also, what about ZW7 it's same like Z83 I mean smooth or stiff?

Ahh that sucks the sticker is missing. I've never heard of the ZW7 till just now, but I looked it up and saw it it's "premium soft ride"

so if you're particularly looking for something soft and comfortable id try to find ones for the zw7 or z83 package

This may be a shot in the dark but have you tried a VIN decoder to see what that might tell you?
