Shock Nuts (Help!)

Default Shock Nuts (Help!)

Hey i have a 2000 Chevy Blazer 2D 2WD, and i replaced the rear passenger shock just fine, but the driver side rear is a bitch.. one of the too bolts won’t come out BUT IT’S LOOSE. I can fidget and move! I felt on too and theres like a metal tab or something holding it from coming? How did i get this out...

If I remember correctly, there's a nut clip on the crossmember that the bolt threads into. If it's spinning, you might be able to hold the nut part of it up top with a pair ov vise-grips. If not, you may have to cut or grind it off.

Hey Tom, thanks! It was the clip and it came off, i had to weld it back. Thanks much.

Glad to hear it worked out.

As far as the no-new-hardware-included thing goes, those same shocks probably fit several different applications which don't necessarily use the same hardware. Since it would probably cause more problems to give somebody the wrong hardware, rather than no hardware, it makes sense to go with the safest choice.
