Small leak at shift cable housing among other things
Hello everyone, I'm having a few problems(and questions) with my blazer at the moment. The first problem being a small leak where my shift cable housing mates with the carrier case. The fluid leaking looks fluorescent green in color and is kind of milky. I'm currently thinking radiator fluid due to the coloring but i'm not sure how it would be in there. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The leak seems to be coming from the bottom half of the cable housing.
Second question now. My front driveshaft seems to have taken a small bite out of my transmission housing. Not sure how on that one because when i went to move the shaft with my hand, It had barely any play in it.

The white line next to the universal joint is what i'm talking about.
Third and final question for this post. This should probably be in the engine and transmission section but i don't want to start another thread when you guys probably answer this easily. Where the transmission mates to the block there is a hole on the bottom. It's against the oil pan and looks to clean to be something that blew it out.

It's to the left of the oil drain plug.
Thanks for any help you guys can give. Hopefully my pictures help, just wish they were of better quality but all i had on me was my phone.
Also in case it doesn't come up in my garage area. It's a 1998 blazer 4x4, 4 door, automatic trans, LT trim.

its possible that antifreeze is leaking onto it makeing it look like its leaking. but if it is actually leaking you can just undo those bolts, pull it far enough away from there to clean it up and re-silicone it to stop the leak.

check your motor mounts and transmission mounts, it might not be the actual driveshaft that moved but the engine/trans/ and transfercase

probably just a drain hole. lot of vehicles do this. its more or less to let water drain out if it gets in there or encase your rear main seal blows or the front transmission seal blows the fluid has to leak out of somewhere otherwise it would be like a lake inside the bell housing

Thanks for the reply abig84, I will check for a leak in a radiator
hose in the morning when I get home from work. I forgot to mention that I have smelled gear oil in the puddle so I think I will need to pull the cable housing out regardless. Would permatex black work for this application?
What would be a possible reason for the engine or transmission moving? I don't do any off roading in my blazer as its my main vehicle. I'm trying to get the blazer back in good shape. She hasn't had any real problems up until this point for the 6 years I've had her. The trans seems to be going into limp mode but i think that's because my MAF sensor is bad. At least I'm hoping so.
