Default solid axle swap

OK i have heard people mention doing a solid axle swap on their blazers. My question is what all has to be changed? (besides the axle and springs) and can it still be a daily driver?

Thanks,

Jman would be the dude to ask. But logic tells me that its not that bad to do. Just fab up some upper and lower control arms. Setup the steering linkages. Figure out if ur doing leafs, coils, or coil overs. Make some sway bars. Then just line up the front drive shaft and that should be it. For reference you might even want to take a look under a Bronco II or a Jeep Cherokee. Actually when i go solid axle myself im probably gonnabegrabbing the front and rear axles to a bronco II (dana 35 in the front and ford 9" in the rear, not too bad). Either that or i may just go Dana 44's but anyways, its something that a good fabricator can mock up or if you have a 4x4 shop that you can become buddys with have them help you out.

Oh, yeah, definatly you can use the one under there now. Just make sure you get axles with matching gears. As for the t-case it should be just fine. The use the same case for 3.42, 3.73, and 4.10 gears so you got options.
