Default squaty rear end

are blazers notorious for soft and squaty rear ends? i have a 97 lt 4x4 4 door with 108K miles and when i went off roading every bump i hit the rear end bottomed out and i was only going about 5mph. are stock blazers just like that or could the rear shocks be shot? if so what would be a good stiff shock to throw in that is out today?

You have to realize that your truck is 13+ years old and the rear springs are likely weaker than when it rolled off the assembly line. Or you may have a broken spring in the pack(s). Shocks will only help you so much. If your springs are weak or broken, you need to correct that first.

oh oops when i said shocks i meant springs. i talked to some people and they said there never really is a reason to replace your shocks but your springs are what gets shot. so my new question is what would be a good stiff spring to replace the old ones with? thank you for your help
