That is definitely the wrong way. I am surprised that it even holds fast. The spacer fits through the hole in the control arm doesnt it... It is simply preference to have the threads up for me. It is based off of having to pull an old one apart to make repairs.
That's how mine is. My description wasn't very good. The threaded side of the bolt is up toward the engine and I have the spacer between the final bushing (at the top nearest the thread) and in the control arm. The spacer is in between the two bushings that are on top and under the control arm. I think I did it as you said, but it's difficult, at least for me, to explain. I've never done this. But it all held up. I drove 300 miles tonight in 60+ mph winds, everything is in tact so I think it's right. It's tight and everything. But to make it as clear as possible, before everything was tightened down, I saw the spacer in the control arm hole, NOT at the end of the sway bar. So I think it is correct.

Thanks again to all, especially Kyle for the help. Here are some pictures. The first was literally all the pieces I had from the original end links, and the 2nd pic is the final product.

They are pretty tight. About as tight as I could go. I don't know the exact torque that they are supposed to be/

i did mine about a 2 weeks ago. used the moog k6600. took me a few minutes to figure out which way the cup washers and bushings faced too.only real trouble i had was one was a tadshort of getting a thread to grab but i simply put my jack under it and pushed the bolt up with the jack, once i gotta couple turns on the nut it pulled together. the moogs dont come with lock nuts unfortunately, so i bought those seperately at a hardware store. never checked the torque. my drivers side was in good condition, thespacing on it was 2 inches so i did the same to the new ones. mine were really rusted i wish certain things came in stainless. i use stainless nuts or bolts as often as possible.

user KAGE0113, what is the spacing on yours? i see alot of threads on the top of yours? im wondering if mine are loose or yours are tight? also the nut you used is not a lock nut is it? keep an eye on it or maybe loosen it a little bit and put some loctite...
