Is the steering linkage different on a 1991 4WD 4.3 v6 S 10 Idler arm , steering center drag link etc.

 

I assume not because that body style is the one the last gens search for to use the center link for a factory mount stabilizer shock. But I do think some of the other parts are different, maybe all.

 

Compared to what?

 

Should work for any first Gen Blazer, Jimmy, or Sonoma, but not a Bravada. Key word being should. Not sure it would work on a 2wd, though.

 

The way to check if a part is compatible is to go to a GM parts supplier and check the part numbers for the different years.

Off the top of my head I believe that for all the non-ZR2 first and second gen Blazers the center-links are compatible. The first gen ones had a place to mount a steering stabilizer whereas the second gen ones did not.

 

You need to tell us what you want to know the difference is from? What vehicle do you drive? What vehicle do you want to source parts from?

I can say that the steering center link is the same from the first generation 92 4x4 Blazer as a 2002 4x4 non-ZR2. I'm using one from a 92 in my 2002 Sonoma because some of the first generation one had the factory hole in the steering link for a steering stabilizer. The measurements are all the same, end to end, hole to hole, and angles for the mounting faces. The only difference is the extra hole for the steering stabilizer post.

 

I have a 96 Jimmy SLT 4x4 the center link is just a bar of steel with four holes for the pivot points. 2 Tie Rod, 1 Idler , 1 Pitman. They do not sell this aftermarket and the junk yard ones all have the same issue. Oblonged holes.
