sway bar removal
I've got a 97 S10 blaze, 4x4 with the 4.3. I'm considering removing the front and rear swaybar to get better suspension performance and travel. I use it off-road more than I do on road. I just want to know your opinion/ suggestion on this. Weather it would be ok or have a negative effect in the long run. My thinking is it will allow the suspension to move freely of each side except for the rear cause it's a straight axel. Any input is welcome. Thanks!

It does wonders offroad for more articulation up front, not so much in the back. Keep in mind, with more articulation comes more wear and tear on front end components, but the trade off is worth it, IMHO, for keeping all four tires on the ground where they tend do to better than being in the air.
You might want to look at making your front sway bar able to be quick disconnect rather than removing it. Pretty easy to do.
On road, you'll notice a bit more body roll but nothing that isn't manageable, providing you don't drive like a teenager.

replacing the threaded metal garbage/nut at the top of the link with a wing nut. drill a little holt in the bolt and drop a cotter pin in it so the wing nut doesn't walk off when you are on the street.
search it up, i believe there is a how to floaing around here or at least a link to where it does live (s10 forum i believe)
