Default t-case question

this in for a 2001 blazer lt. has the np8/nv236 t-case. what other t-cases where offered in the gen 2 blazers and how big of a pain in the *** would it be swap t-cases? also, is there a way to make the front diff manual locking instead of vacuum operated?

NV233 is the non-automatic electronic shift transfer case. It would require a rewiring of everything involved with the transfer case, a new TCCM and a new dash switch plus possibly programming in the PCM.

Search for Posi-lock and you should turn up a few threads on the subject of manual locking front axle.
