T-Case shifts into 4HI and 4LO but doesn't turn front driveshaft
Vehicle is a 98 Blazer, I've been inside transfer cases before and not afraid to tear this one apart, its just that its my daughters vehicle and i dont want to take it out of service and then wait for parts. So i just figured i would check to see if this is at all common and if so, what common part breaks, im thinking the mode fork, the range fork must be ok because i get 2LO when i select 4LO.
The front axle is for sure locked in so that isnt the problem, even with front wheels off the ground you can still turn the front driveshaft with the tcase in 4LO, the chain is not broken, i looked up in there through the fill plug and its there and not too much slack in it, no clunking noises when in 4x4 and slipping rear tires. I just dont want to tear it down and it put it back together and then order parts and do it again, its her only way of transportation.
Has anyone heard of an issue like this that ISN'T related to front axle engagement issues?
Any ideas appreciated, thanks!

unless something broke after the chain... a few years back my 93 s10 (has a np208 out of a k5 blazer in it) broke something while offroad, only had rear wheel drive, something in the case was banging and clunking but had rear wheel drive. tore the whole case apart to find nothing wrong with it, found one broken washer in the front output section of the case, so somehow that caused all that mess.
do you have a floor shifter or a push button set up. if its a push button i wonder if you can pull the motor off and manually shift the case around. even though you are getting 2low its possible it might not be shifting fully into 4low
