Default TCCM Swap from 98 to 02?

I just bought a 2002 ZR2 blazer, and my yellow indicator lights went out on the 3 button 4x4 switch, and 4x4 does not work. After searching through 90+ threads, I think it is my TCCM. I have a 98 4x4 4dr blazer with working 4x4, and was wondering if I can just swap out the tccm??? I'm guessing they are the same module. Additionally, are there any tricks to removing the panel hiding the tccm on pass. side???? Any help would be greatly appreciated =]

Should be the same provided they are both NV233/NP233 transfer cases.

Yep, both are NV233 cases. I hope to investigate this tomorrow after my physics exam...

Update: I pulled the kick panel off this morning, quickly inspected the TCCM. Harness is a little loose, but no broken wires present. I did however find broken glass... which leads me to think my new vehicle purchase could turn into a headache

I get the dumbass award for the week. Turns out I had a blown courtesy light fuse, which powers the 3 switches. I replaced the fuse, and I have 4wd again!.... after the fact I removed the kick panel and tried swapping the tccm.... really makes my engineering education feel useful haha

Well, that would do it! Glad you got it fixed. Surprising that you did not notice the other items on the CTSY fuse not functioning...
