transfer case question

i have a 79 full size blazer... in the transfer case i have 2wd, 4wdH, and 4wdL... but also i have a 4wd high and low lock ... can anyone tell me wut the low and high lock are? not too sure about it... thanks

sorry it goes from top to bottom lo loc,lo,n hi, then hi loc on the shifter

yeah, full time transfercase.

from my understanding is lock locks both front and rear axles in. if you leave it in 4wd, its kinda like a AWD truck. so power only goes to the axle that has no traction, kinda like a axle. on a open axle if you park one tire on ice that one is the one that spins. the transfercase works the same way. if you have it in 4wd and park your rear axle on ice, all the power will go towards the rear. if you put it in 4lock. both axles will go.

its a boat anchor in my opinion. you can buy a conversion kit so you can make it like a normal transfercase.
