Default transmission wont shift in 4LO after mod

Ok guys, I did the manual conversion on my 95 chevy blazer transfercase. Pulled the encode motor off and built a handle to manually shift to 4hi and 4lo, but found out the transmission wont shift threw the gears, its in first gear unless you shift into second and thats it, so what do I need to do to get this thing to shift properly in LO range? Thanks Greg.

You will basically have to fashion up either a ground trigger or a +12V trigger (can't remember which it is, but I do believe that it is a gray wire with black tracer at the TCCM) for the PCM/VCM so that it knows it is in 4LO in order to change the shift points. Since you have removed the encoder motor, the PCM/VCM no longer knows what the transfer case is doing.

So would hooking the motor back to the harness help or not. Or would it be easyer locating the right wire to ground? or ?

Just hooking up the encoder motor won't help. You need to connect everything back up like it was stock, then probe the wire I mentioned at the TCCM to see what it does when in 2HI/4HI and 4LO, then duplicate that with a switch for when you are in 4LO.

Here's a diagram that might help in your endeavors.

Thanks for your help. I'll see what I can come up with.

Ok I got it figured out, transmission now shifts through the gears in 4 LO, I had to ground the gray / black stripped wire coming out of the PCM which is the black box that sits on the radiator surge tank. I put a switch inline so I can have an open circuit or close it for 4LO operation. Did alot of searching to figure this out.
