URGENT!!! Lug Post broke need to replace by Monday!
Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew how to replace a broken lug post. Mine snapped off today since the torque wrench never clicked. If you can give me specific directions that would be great, pics would be really awesome but not needed. Thanks in advance. If you could post asap it would be greatly appreciated as I need to be able to drive this on Monday.
yea, you can get the replacement at your local parts store. smack it out with a hammer (carefully) and then slip the new stud in. take a handful of large washers (big enough to go around the stud, and a nut that will fit the stud as well. a spare lug nut will work. torque it down to press the new stud in place. not hard at all!
Thanks everyone, that link above helped a lot and this was super easy to do. The hardest part was breaking the bolts loose that held the brakes on since some idiot before I bought the truck put them on with a impact wrench (which I dont have, so we had to get a long pry bar which worked great).
