Zr2 suspension
This is probably a stupid question but is it possible to swap the suspension from a zr2 straight to a 4door Lt?

no. no. no.
It wouldn't let me reply with just one "no". |
You could swap some components though....

the only things you can really swap are the leafs, torsion bars, and torsion keys... everything else is different

I asked the same question a while back, here's the link

Ok that's kinda what I thought. I want to make the back end stiffer so if the zr2 leafs fit I was thinking about doing that or just adding a leaf. Thanks for the help

I had the same plans, but ended up going with what is commonly called a "bastard pack" where you essentially mix-and-match pieces of multiple spring packs to achieve what you want. i teamed it up with new shocks and a lift shackle, and now my blazer rides more truck-like in the back. worth looking into i guess.

oh that sounds like a good idea. i dont really want to lift it a whole lot because i just bought standard 235 tires and a lift would make it look bad with the smaller tires i think. buying the tires is a interesting story too. the geniuses at discount tire sold me 31's and said they would fit with no rubbing at all. they put them on and i backed out of the garage and turned slightly and the tires started grinding so i pulled it right back in and had them put the 235's on. whats interesting is one of the guys there has a 00' Lt blazer with 31 M/T's with no lift or adjustment (so he claims) and they dont rub at all. i dont know how that can possibly work unless he only drives in a straight line..
