Default Ball Joints on 2000

Went for inspection the other day...2000 Blazer (Trailblazer Package) 4x4, 61000 miles....Tells me I need lower ball joints and an idler arm, figure I might as well replace the uppers while I'm at it.....Price 748.00....WTF???? So for that kind of scratch I'll do it myself. What can I expect? Anyone tacked this theirself? Is it the same proceedure as in the prev Z thread?
Any help, comments would be appreciated. Seems ball joints are an issue on these blazers.

Default RE: Ball Joints on 2000

Seems to be an issue, although I haven't ahd that problem yeet and I have 110,000 miles on the original parts.

The hardest part is getting the ball joints out. Drill, grind, whatever to get the rivets out and they should beat out easily enough. Serioulsy consider new brakes and rotors while your at it. You have to take them off to get to the ball joints.
