Default need to replace some parts up front...

I just picked up a 1994 fullsize blazer qith 139K on it and there is some bangingnoises coming from the front end when I hit a bump. I took the wheels off to do the brakes and didnt see anything wrond. Could I just need new shocks or could this be something worse?

There are a lot of possible causes. Can you describe the noise in more detail?
I would do a front end check for worn bushings in the shocks, worn ball joints, worn spring bushings or a cracked frame at the steering box.
