Default shackles or air bags to fix sagging leafs

I just bought a 2000 ZR2 Blazer with 84000 miles on it. The back sags so much I cant stand looking at it. Which would be better some air bags or shackles? I'm planning on buying a small trailer and a dirtbike this spring and the air bag idea seems cool because I could put more air in them to level the load out. I know the shackles cost about 1/3 as much and that Synergy Offroad makes an outstanding pair in different sizes.

But you guys know alot more about this stuff than I do. So what do you think is best?

Ok well I have air shocks which are easy to install, pretty cheap and I swear I got a 2 inch lift out of it.

I say shackles too because they are cheaper and better.

Both options will help, but won't fix the actual problem. I would consider having the springs re-arched or buying new springs.

I have shackles, AAL's, and air shocks. I'd go with shackles first.

I've always been leery of the concept of air shocks. Seems like the shock mounts weren't really meant to hold up the weight of any vehicle, and with air shocks, that's exactly what you're doing - transferring [at least some of] the weight from the frame points that were designed to carry it, to points that weren't. Granted, shock mounts have to be strong enough to stop bounce, which can create a lot of force, but it's not lasting force. Holding up the weight of a vehicle is 24/7 (unless you're upside-down ).
