Default stabilizer link upper backet is broken - weld it?

I thought my stabilizer bar's left link was broken, but it turns out it's the top bracket snaped from the control arm. Can it be welded, and if so, where might I go in the San Diego area to get it done? BTW, just replaced the whole axle assemble last week due to a broken axle, so this is NOT good news, or timing

it was always a "unwritten rule" not to heat suspension components
that being said , I have heard of guys welding them
I think you will only have sucess if the welding is done by a good welder
You dont want a bubble gum job
