stiff suspension

This is my first "real" post so here it goes. I have a 4" (i think) suspension lift on a 77 blazer i bought recently. It has rancho rs5000 shocks and leaf springs. The suspension is a little too stiff, which can be nice for handling but all the small bumps in the road can be a pain, the big ones are no prob it seems tho. Is there any way to make it a little more loose? Preferably without really spending a whole lot (if any) money? Like just lubicating the shocks somehow or something? Also, what do I measure to see how much lift it is?

Only way to soften the ride would be to get softer shocks. Either way all blazers from that period rode like a brick anyway. There just isn't a whole lot you can do about it. The only way I can think of to measure the lift would be to find out the maker of the kit or measure from the frame to the top of the axel on yours and compare it to one at stock height.
