what type of lift is better
#2
Both have their advantages. The body lift keeps factory steering and suspension specifications, and doesn't wear steering components out faster, but it does not increase ground clearance and shows more of the frame.
A suspension lift increases ground clearance but can cause an increase in wear on steering and suspension components. Both lifts allow for an increase in tire size. Many people who lift their trucks end up doing a combination of body lift and suspension lift. Browse through the builds section and look for something you like, and then look at how they got there.

Are you on a budget? a body lift is cheaper. Unless however, you just want to get shackles for the back then turn the torsion keys in the front. I've heard of some guys doing that for less than 100-150 bucks
