Default 2 Tire and Wheel questions

Im really interested in buying a set of Cragar Soft 8's for my jimmy. I have a new set of tires on my truck (235-75-15) Can I get them transferred over to the new wheels and how much would that cost? Also, I know I need some 15x7 Wheels, But what about backspacing and offset? I want to stay as close to stock as possible. Thanks alot.

Any tire place can remove the tires from your current wheels and mount/balance them on the new wheels. You'll have to call around to check prices. If I remember correctly, some of the chain stores like NTB and DiscountTire wanted about $15 per wheel to mount and balance. You should be able to find some cheaper though.

Is your Jimmy a 2WD or 4WD model? The title of the thread says "2 tire and wheel" but I'm not sure if you meant 2-door or 2WD. If it's a 2WD model, then you want 15x7 with 4" backspacing (which is 0 offset). If you have a 4WD model, then you need 15x7 with 6" backspacing (which is +51mm offset)

HOWEVER, I've never seen soft8s with the specs necessary for the 4WD models. The most backspacing they offer on 15x7 wheels is 4.25" which would mean they'll stick out 1.75" further than normal (6 - 4.25 = 1.75)
.

I think he meant he has two questions. but from looking at your sig im going to take a wild guess and say its 4WD. so 6" back spacing is stock, but like medehoogh said i dont think the soft 8's come in that back spacing. but that extra 1.75 inches will make the truck look meaner IMO and wont be a problem as long as you dont want to have bigger tires in the future

Awesome, thanks alot for the responses. Im just trying to find a decent priced black wheel. I like the black because I made a rough rendering with my truck (below) and I think it looks nice. I would do the 4.25" back spacing but I it would look odd with my stock size tires. If you have any wheel ideas that you think would look good and aren't too expensive throw em out there.

I found a set of the wheels in the pics above for $125. Is that a fair price for them? I never bought a set of used wheels before lol
