I got the 235/75/15 in the spare carrier. I will have to go pick up another 255/70/15 tire soon to change out with it. Since it didn't fit right away i traded it out for the 235/75/15. Stupid move on my part.

Well i took the Blazer with the 255/70/15 tires for a interstate trip. I got 17.3 mpg while doing 80-85 mph. Then i slowed it down to 65 mph and got 19.5 mpg. It worked out really well.

I was just checking my 1992 4 door Blazer to see if the set of tires my brother got off his pick up would fit, they are 255 70 R15s. It doesn't look like they will. Full turn with the stock 235 75 R15s just miss the swaybar by about1/4", and the big tires are an inch wider at the sidewall. I don't know anything about wheel spacers. Any comments welcome.

The 1st gen Blazers are a little different than the 2nd gen ones, but you should be able to fit 255/70/15's without any real problems. Does the tire miss the sway bar by the same amount on both sides? On mine with 255/70/15's on stock 4x4 rims I would sometimes touch the sway bar on the drivers side, but clear the passenger side easy. Turns out that the sway bar bushings were worn out and the sway bar wasn't centered. I replaced the bushings and centered the sway bar and never touched it again.

Even with the different Gen Blazer if you do touch the sway bar a little and the bushings are all good (as El_Beautor explained). Then i would see if they rubbed anywhere else, if not i would put them on and just be mindful to not go full turn in either direction. That is of course depending on what you would like to do to your vehicle. If you decide to go with wheel spacers make sure you know your local laws for if tires stick out past the fenders.

I just put the 1.5" wheel spacers on the back of my Blazer. It made the stance look so much better. I will post pics shortly. Next on the list is replace the rear leaf springs with new HD springs and a 2" shackle lift and a 1" torsion lift on the front.

I have the 255/70/r15 with general grabber at2s, with the 2in shackle and 1.5 torsion bar lift. Runs and looks great with no rubbing. I want to get spacers to align the rear end with the front. Not sure what size spacer to get. If any one has idea what size spacer to get, to get an even stance, please let me know.
