I though I had my mind made up, I just ordered some 15x7 black cragars from summit with 4.5" backspacing and planed to get some 30x9.5 bfg at tires, but then I read the review and saw the pictures of the good year duratracs and am torn. If only they made the duratracks in a 30" it would be a no brainer, but they don't. Should I get the larger bfg or stick with the stock tire size and get the duratracs. I know this is probably a stupid question and I think I know the answer, but I have to ask. If I was willing to do some trimming is there any way to fit the 31x10.5 duratracs? I know everyone says you need 2" to run 31's but is there any way to make them fit with some extra trimming? thanks for the help!

if you are riding on stock ride height and expect to use your 30" tires with thsoe cragers, you have a lot of work ahead of you. MAJOR rubbing. I know, I was in the same boat. I had to do the 2" body lift. Im a fan of the BFG tires. Stick with them.

really? everywhere i have searched say that 30's will fit fine at stock height, just may have to trim a bit to fit wheels with 4.5 backspacing. can anyone else confirm either way? Thanks for the input!!

you can fit 30's just fine with stock rims, but a 30" tire on a rim with 4.5"BS will require trimming to avoid rubbing. if you want 31's youll need 2" of lift and youll still have to trim if you run a rim with 4.5"BS.

Ok, I don't have a problem trimming to fit the 30's but now the big question is 30" bfg's or stock size duratracs. I think I am leaning towards the duratracs but I do like the idea of a larger tire

the 30's are about a 1/2" taller than your stock tire size so your not gaining a whole lot, if it were me i would just stick to the stock size.

Duratracs are bigger... take a look!
My rims are 15X7s on 4" backspacing/-6 offset

BFG All Terrain KOs in LT235/75/R15...

Goodyear DuraTracs in LT235/75R15
Again...

BFG...

Goodyear DuraTracs...
I'm EXTREMELY happy with these tires too, wet traction is the best I've ever experienced after getting some miles on'em!
