Will it Fit? Probably, Yes.
Dangerous as hell and shouldn't do it? Definitely Yes

Think of it this way...the stock rim is only 7" wide. If you throw a 16.5" tire on there it's double the width of the rim. That raises a major safety concern in my eyes. If you hit a big pot hole or bump you'd probably blow out extremely easy. I wouldn't go above a 10.5" tire on stock rims...MAYBE push it to an 11.5" tire, but 16 is just a bad idea.
Beyond it fitting on the rim just how would you plan to fit that onto your truck? There is no way you'd get a 16" wide tire on a Blazer without serious amount of lift and cutting of the fenders/wheel wells etc. It's a squeeze just to fit 31x10.5 in there with 2" of lift. Imagine a 16" wide tire.

Just a question. Thanks for the answer man, just saw a set really cheap. I'll be going with 10.50.

Sucks when you find sweet tires like that for real cheap knowing they won't fit eh? I've seen a few sets of 32's I've been temped on, but I know I wouldn't be able to fit them without a decent amount of lift. And that's not going to happen anytime soon lol.

A 31" x 16.5" tire? Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a tire with those specs.

Probably a 31" diameter 16.5" rim, not 16.5" section width.

Thats what I was wondering as well. 16.5 seems WAY too big.

yeah, the widest tire i could find listed was a 31x15.5, but it came back with zero search results.

like Kyle, when i first saw the OP, i was thinking he meant to say they were 16.5" rims. but i only ever saw those on my Dad's old '76 3/4 ton Chevy.

hell, i don't think there is enough lift available (or even a safely made custom job) that would allow you to fit a 15 or 16 inch wide tire on these trucks. what's the depth of the wheel wells............maybe 9, 10 inches max?
