Oh, only some mild rubbage off road but my sway bar wasn't disconnected. I think an inch of lift in the front will help.

A few questions, before I do this to my baby:

*How do you think this setup would do with 3"+3" glass fenders? I imagine any rub issues would be gone.

*You think 12.5's would work with glass fenders?
---or---

*would the additional 2 inches of width be WAY too much stress on the stock axles?

Thanks!

Love the Blazer(s), by the way...33's look perfect!

There is no way I could fit 12.5" wide tires. I still want to do the RC lift on the front to level it out with the rear. I built up the steering stops and the 10.5" wide tires just touch the frame.

If you want to drive on the street then you will be fine with a body lift, T bar crank and trimming. If you want to wheel hard, expect to rub.

I don't know anything about the glass fenders (link?).

Here's the link for the fenders. They have a 3" rise, and a 3" flare. (bottom of linked page)

Hey...is there any reason one couldn't put lift shackles and an add-a-leaf to get 4 inches or so out of the rear?

do a rear axle flip and that will net you 5" easy.
stock is axle over spring...flip it to axle under spring.

That's what Blaz has.

As for the fenders, if you're not planning on doing a major lift, the back of the wheel well needs to basically be inline with the firewall to clear the 33's. You also need to trim the inner fender the same way as with the LS1 fender flares and massage the firewall with a big hammer a bit.

Yeah...I know about that...just didn't want to chop off the spring perch, and weld on top...call me cheap and laaazy. I guess it remains to be seen though...rear diff is leaking, and I'm probably going to swap the whole axle out with a D44 with 4.10's.

Well...I'm kind of in limbo right now...I have the possibility of getting my hands on a front diff with 4.10's, and a Trailmaster 5" for $400 total. I'll still buy the RC 2.5"...cuz I want the uppers, shackles, and keys...and the individual parts...well...might as well buy the whole damn kit. Still...can't beat that...under a grand...5" lift done RIGHT plus gears. As for the fenders...the inner fender is going to be hacked into oblivion...as little as possible remaining, needed to fit up the new fenders which should be here this week. I'm not one of these "scared to cut or sledge my ride" people. I'll saw it to the ground if I think I can build it back right.
