Default 98 Blazer wheel/ tire info

I recently got a set of 16 inch Z28 rims for my Blazer in place of the 15 inch wheels that came stock on mine. The wheels are the 1995 Z28 style. They are 16x8 so I ordered 1 inch wheel spacers to help it more match up like a 16x7. Everything looks great no scrub. I'm wondering how big of tires I can run without having to lift it. I've heard that if you go up to 16 inch instead of the 15 inch that it will add an inch to the overall diameter, is this true? My blazer is a 1998 LS 4x4 4dr. I have posted a pic of the original 15 inch rims it came with to show the amount of clearance I have. I was thinking of running 235 60 r16 tires. Mine also came with a ground effect kit from the dealer that I can trim if necessary but hope I wouldn't have to trim much if I had to. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The back tires are flat that is why it is sitting low in back, otherwise when tires inflated it has more level look

Look at the tire diameter rather than the rim diameter. If you want the look with the 15" wheels, find a 16" tire with the same diameter as what you had on there with the 15"ers. I would go for a 255 vs 235, though. Wider tires look much better, IMO. Looking at your pics, you could go up a bit as far as diameter goes, say 1/2-1 inch.

Thanks for the info. I really would like to go bigger like the 255 that would be great. I just wasn't sure if I could go that big over the 235. But think I'm going to try a 255. Also was wondering if going with 60 wide would put any strain on my suspension etc?. I think it would look great with 255 60 r16 . So I'm going to try it, will post pics after to show what they look like. Thanks again 👍
