Post backspacing question?

i got a question about the backspacing for my new rims that i just bought for my 98 jimmy, its a 4x4 and i just put 15x8 rims on it after i just did a 2'' body lift on it this past weekend, i measured the back spacing for the stock rims and it was just under 6'' and on my new rims its 4'' and the tires poke now ( looks pretty bad *** now from before) but im wondering if having a backspace that different will wear out my outer bearings fast? any help would be great

You won't have a problem in the rear but you may see accelerated wear on the front end components. How you drive will have an impact on how long the front end holds together.

This is not to say that 2" less back spacing is not safe. Just that you may have to replace parts sooner than later.
