Good way to widen Blazer stance?
I'm looking to widen my Blazer's stance a bit. I want the tires flush with or sticking out a bit from the fenders. I'm not lifting it or anything so nothing too crazy. I'm just planning to swap out the 15x7 rims and install 15x8's. I believe the stock backspacing is 4". So can I simply buy 15x8's with the same backspacing and everything? Or will I have to mess with that as well? Sorry for the lack of knowledge I just can't seem to find enough useful information, and all the tire conversions are confusing the hell out of me on top of that.

i "believe" smaller number equals tire out further.
i mentioned wheel spacers because the rear wheels set in further then the front in a stock setup. i did it to equal them out.
also i think if you stick with stock backspacing and a wider wheel you will have rub issues.
if you do a search on backspacing you will find lots of answers that will help.

Yeah I think if you have a 4x4 stock backspacing is 6" if you have 2wd stock backspacing is 4" and the lower the number of backspacing the farther it'll stick out. I have 4 or 4.5" backspacing on my 98 4x4 and they stick out a good inch-inch and a half it looks really good

This is interesting, I have stock susp. So if I can make the rears come out even with the fronts on my 2000 LT 4x4, what spacer number would I need? I plan on giving it a lift later, but I intend let the rim do the rest of the spacing there. Kinda like the iroc's do for wart's blazer, then just add some flares to it.
