Default HELP!

Hi, I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer LS 4x4, and currently have 31x10.5 BF Goodrich Long trail tires on stock rims.

I was looking to order 31x9.5 Super Swamper TSL Radial tires, and mount them on Rock Crawler series 82 wheel. The specs of the wheel I'd be ordering would be 15x10, with a 5 on 4.75 bolt pattern, with 3.75 in. of backspacing. I was wondering if these will work, and if i'll have any problems rubbing.

I haveonly alittlerubbing at full lock now, the Long trail radials measure 30.7 by 10.7, and the Super Swamper TSL Radials are 30.7 as well, but a narrower tire to allow for less backspacing.

Any input in greatly appreciated!

You will definitely rub. The wheels will push the tires out more and while the thinner tire might help a little, it won't help enough to prevent rubbing...

Ok thanks, do you think it'll be baddd rubbing or just minor? I have minor now at full lock and its not bad at all I just dont want to drop almost a grand and not be able to run the tires.

I can't say how bad the rubbing will be. Wolfpack has 30x10.5" tires on similar sized wheels as the ones your getting has a 2" susp lift and 2" body lift. I don't know what kind of rubbing he had (or has) but I'm sure he'll chime in once he see's this thread.

Yea you'll definitely rub a lot. I even cut the lower part of my wheel well off, and notched back the lower rocker panel a bit to allow for better clearance...And I have more backspacing than the rims youre looking at. Mine are 4.5, and its a shorter tire on the rim. After my lift and trimming, I only rub offroad, but I cant imagine having any bigger of a tire without significant modification..much less decreasing the backspacing[&o]

Tire: General Grabber AT2
Size: 265/70R17
Type: Radial
Load range: SL
Max load (lb @ psi): 2,602 @ 35 psi
Sidewall: 2-ply polyester
Tread: 2-ply polyester, 2-ply steel, 2-ply nylon
Approved rim width (in): 7.5-9.5
Tread depth (in): 17/32
Tread width (in): 10.43
Section width (in): 10.7
Overall diameter (in): 31.7
Static loaded radius (in): N/A
Revolutions per mile: 636
Weight (lb): 22.8
Those are the tires you have correct? The tow choices im deciding between are below. I don't know which would create less rubbing, the shorter but wider tire(30x10.5), or the taller but skinnier tire (31x9.5), especially with the rims with 3.75 in. of backspacing. Rubbing alittle is okay i just don't want to do anything that will damage the vehicle.

The tires you have are a good bit bigger than the two choices I'm thinking about, however I know you have a body lift and t-bar/shackle lift. Which do you think would cause less rubbing? Wider and shorter? or skinnier and taller? or will it make a difference at all? Thanks man.

If it wouldn't be a good idea to get either of these tires, I'm looking to find the largest and most aggresive tire I can get, to fit on 15 inch rims with 3.75 in. of backspacing, with minimal to no rubbing. One other option I'd have is to get Super Swamper TSL/SSX 29x10.5, possible problems with these?
