Default How to figure out what size tires and wheels to get

Hey, new to blazers and could use some help. I just got an ‘04 LS 4x4 COMPLETELY STOCK and im curious ab new wheels and tires. I’m not wanting anything too big, just something to widen the tires and bring ‘em out a bit.

Firstly:
I understand the stock offset is about 50mm, but I don’t know what to do with that info:
  • How much would getting a 0mm offset tire being the wheels out? Would it be exactly 50mm or is there another part of this equation I’m missing?

Secondly:
I want to put 15x8s on to just give some more width, but I’m not sure how much I need to lower my offset to clear up some more space:
  • Would something like a 245/75r15 be a reasonable tire size? And if so, would a 15x8 with 0mm offset be ok?

Any and all help is appreciated. Any ideas for this little “project” would be awesome! Really exited for this!!!

This might help. You'll have to take some measurements of your fenders so you can compare to the calculator's results.

Throw some 255/70/15's on the stock rims. They will give you the look you are wanting and you won't have to worry about the speedo being off.

I'll second AJBert's suggestion of 255/70/15's on stock rims. I ran those on my Blazer for a while, and they look MUCH beefier than the stock 235/75/15's, but they're the same height so your speedometer and odometer will still be correct.
You could also add 1.5" spacers to the rear axle if you want to even the stance with the front if you don't like the narrower rear track width.
