Lightbulb Need Some Help on 1989 S10 Blazer 4x4

I've been out of the rims and tires game for a long time and really don't know where to start. I've scrolled through multiple posts on the forum, and tried to look at the calculators and whatnot, but that just confuses me more. We bought my son a 1989 Chevrolet S10 Blazer 4x4 (2 Door) and are in the process of fixing it up for him. He has a year before he gets his license so we have time but wanted to see what would be the largest all terrain tire that I could put on a 15x7 or 15x8 rim? From what I'm looking at on the calculator, it looks like the biggest tire would be a 235/70/15. Not looking to have to lift it or do any modifications. (not yet anyways) Any help would be appreciated.

Try this
https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-...tion-kits.html

1988 featured 195/75 x 15 tires.
Later 1st. gen's used the 235/70 x 15 you mentioned. (My 1994 came with this tire option on the aluminium wheels)
