They look like a solid company...They appear to be more street oriented, but check out their M/T:
Got awesome reviews on offroaders.com.
What'd you pay for them?

RE: nokian?
I have a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta winter tireson my Jimmy right now. I bought them used for $200 last year from a coworker. They were like new when I bought them, and I've put about 15k on them since. After running them year round, they are finally getting replaced this weekend. I would have bought them again, but new they run $125 a tire for 235/75/15. Ouch. I went with Firestone Winterforce tires from tirerack for $61 a tire ONLY because they were half as much. As far as performance, those Nokians were awesome. They were the best rain tire I ever had on the Jimmy, unbelievable in snow/ice. I don't think my abs kicked in once last year. I was very impressed with them. If they weren't so expensive, I would have bought them again.
I believe Nokian tires are made in Norway. If anybody knows how to make a good snow tire, you would think it would be the Norwegians.

Hello. This is my first post, and i'm norwegian so i will try to answer to my best.
Please note that im not perfect in my english
The non studded winter tyre Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSi came out a really close second place in a new test from Scandinavias largest automobile-organization, NAF. (norwegian organization).
The studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta came out in first place.
So the Nokian brand is a good brand.
It is not Norwegian brand though. Its from Finland.
And not all of Norway has snow in the winther
Where i live, on the west coast, near a city called Stavanger we had snow for 3 or 4 days last year.
But finland has lots of snow.
Great forum by the way!

RE: nokian?
im not sure what i paid for them, i dont have the bill yet, im assuming somewhere around 125 + or -....but its better than what i was going to pay for bfg's all terrain KO's at $140 a piece...that would ave been around 529ish for four tires...but like i said before, i had him put on tires, do an inspection, new ball joints and a transmission flush so the bill's going to be high anyway.
