Hi guys,

i´ve got a question about the ofset/backspace of a 1995 Chevy S10 Blazer.

I want buy some new rims, but in germany the regulation of car modifications are very hard.
The rims must not stuck out of the Fenders.
Now, I have the stock rims with 265/70R15 on stock rims, like these on my blazer.
To decide which rims would be legal, I would like to know what the offset of these rims is.
I searched everywere, but I nowhere found the offset.

If anyone could help me,
I would be very happy.

Ok, that explaines why the tire rubbing on the frames, while I have 30mm wheel spacer on every front wheel.

I want want new rims, because I don´t like wheel spacers.
Now I can calculate the Offset of the new rims.

Fortunately, no german police officer have no notion about american cars.

Look for a wheel with a 5" or 5.5" backspace.

 

Ok, thanks, but i´ve got a little dumb question, yet.
How did you measure the offset?
From the inner side of the Rim?
I think it´s so much, the rim-width is only 7".

 

The offset is +51 and the backspacing is 6 inches.

The backspacing is measured from the hubface of the wheel to the inner edge of the wheel.

Once you have the backspacing, you can calculate the offset

 

Offset and Backspace are two different datas?
I don´t know, because in Germany there´s only one data.
I think it should be the offset.

That is correct,

Offset is the distance from the center line of the wheel to the hub mounting face.

Backspacing (or rear spacing at the bottom in the picture below) is the distance from the hub mounting face to the inner edge of the wheel



It can be confusing trying to match up several different measurements and aspects of the wheel
