Default Putting 95 Z28 wheels on blazer

I have a set of Z28 wheels, they are 16 inch, everything fits great. The center bore , bolt pattern etc. the only problem I have is the rims are 16 x 8 so the rear rims ride against the rear brake lines. I thought of putting 1 inch spacers with hub centric on to solve this issue. I actually only need about a half inch so I could go with 1/2 inch spacers or 1 inch. Has anyone done this swap before? Are there any other problems I may run into? Any help greatly appreciated

It would be cheaper to buy a tube bender and bend the tubes. Spacer only move the rims out, though that might work.

You'll also want to check that the front doesn't rub when turning at full lock.

If you have the rims I believe you do, then keep in mind that they have 6.8" backspacing, vs the 6" that is standard on the factory 15x7" rims from a 4x4 S-series truck. So the inside lip of the rim and tire sit just over 3/4" inboard vs the factory setup.

I'm running a set of these rims on my truck with my winter tires, but I have a ZR2 rear axle (3" wider than factory 4x4 axle) and 1.5" spacers on the front.

Default Z28 wheels swap

Thanks for the info, I bent the brake line hanger as much as I could, which gave me about an extra 3/8 space away from the tire. I have ordered 1 inch hub centric spacers and think this will solve the issue of tire and wheel scrub. As for the front wheels it makes a little contact when fully turned, but just a small amount, I think the spacers will solve this as well. Thanks for all the help and input.

Did you ever resolve this issue? I just got a 2dr 4x4ls and I have an extra set of 16x8 Firebird formula rims I was thinking about using.

Yes. They fit great no problem. I actually can run the wheels without the spacers but get a slight scrub at full turn , but not to the point it's a issue. But I installed 1 inch spacers and everything is fine. ( You can run 1/2 spacers and that solves any issues) I ended up running 265/70/r16 tires and it gave it a lift around 1/2 to 3/4 inch without installing lift kit and i didnt have to adjust the torsion bars . But that is about the max tire size I can go without having to lift it. Everything seems to be fine and rides well too. Although your speedometer may be 5 to 20 miles off. Mine is approximately 5 miles off . Sorry to do long to reply been busy with a lot of projects
