RE: Question (Offset) Related

The rims are not stock they're custom, aftermarket 17" wheels.

RE: Question (Offset) Related

Notice I did not say stock rims, but rather stock BS rims (ie stock back spacing). Push the wheels out further and you will get rubs at steering lock (full turning in either direction). Stock back spacing (as already mentioned above and in NUMEROUS other threads discussing this exact topic - search works btw) is 6". If you increase the tire diameter as well as decrease the back spacing, you are asking for interference between the tire and the frame when the steering goes to the lock in either direction.

RE: Question (Offset) Related

Thanks so much for the info, the rims I got have a BS of +35. I'm currently in contact with the tire company to see if I can't get my order changed. They're going to make more money from me downsizing, anyways.

RE: Question (Offset) Related

Would a set of 255/65/17 work on a stock suspension?? That would make the diameter of the tire 30.1 inches. Also will the bolt pattern 5x120 work for a 4WD blazer?? Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Question (Offset) Related

5x4.75 works out to be 5x120.6mm so yes, a 5x120 rim should work. You will want to verify that the rim is a hub centric rim, meaning that it locates (centers) on the hub and not on the studs. Using the hub to center on takes quite a bit of load off of the studs.

RE: Question (Offset) Related

I put 2wd blazer rims on my 4x4 with 30x9.50 tires, and all I had to do is crank the t bars slightly and beat the lower fender in at the factory bolt and I have absolutely NO rubbing issues at all on and off road.
