Off the top of my head, for at least the 2nd gen Blazers, the back-spacing for the 2wd and 4wd Blazers is different. The backspacing values could be the same for the 1st gen Blazers as the 2nd gen but I'm not sure. If you look up replacement Blazer rims online, look for the year and if it is for 2wd or 4wd.

If you check out tirerack.com and search their wheels, they will allow you to search by 4wd and 2wd.

For 2wd, the stock offset for the stock 15x7 rims is -6mm whereas for the 4wd the stock offset for the stock 15x7 rims is +50mm.

You also might find this link handy: https://www.wheel-size.com/size/chev...-ladm-43i--189

This confirms that the 2wd (which I think includes the Extreme) has an offset of -6mm whereas the 4wd has an offset of +50mm

Here is a link that defines offset and backspacing. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/06...l-backspacing/

And finally, here is a calculator to help you visualize what wheel/tire combo can fit. https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/
